Memorials and Planned Giving

“I am Resurrection and I am Life, says the Lord. Whoever has faith in me shall have life, even though he die. And everyone who has life, and has committed himself to me in faith, shall not die for ever…” (from the Burial Office in The Book of Common Prayer)

MEMORIAL GIFTS

When a beloved member of the parish dies, many families and friends desire to give a monetary donation or purchase a special gift to the parish in memory of that person. Memorial gifts often come in the form of a monetary donation. However, specific gifts, such as furnishings for the church, may be given as well. Unless otherwise designated, all monetary donations to the parish are placed in the Gifts and Memorials Fund and used at the discretion of the Vestry. If you would like to make a monetary donation or purchase a special gift in memory of a loved one, please speak with our priest, Father Eric.

PLANNED GIVING

Planned giving through bequests are normally placed in the Gifts and Memorials Fund and used at the discretion of the Vestry, unless otherwise specified by the donor. St. Mary’s does not currently operate an endowment fund. However, there are several special funds to which bequests can be designated. We encourage all members of St. Mary’s to consider the church when they are making end-of-life plans for their estate. For more information on planned giving, please contact our priest, Father Eric.
