Membership at St. Mary’s

If you feel God leading you to become a member of our parish family, we would love to have you. There are several ways to become a member of St. Mary’s.

If you’re already a member of another Episcopal Church:

The process is very simple. All you have to do is speak with our priest, Father Eric, and he will arrange to have your membership transferred from your previous parish to St. Mary’s. Once we receive your letter of transfer, you will be recorded in our register as a baptized member.

If you’re not an Episcopalian but you’ve been baptized in another church:

You can become a member of St. Mary’s simply by providing us with some basic information, such as your name, date and place of birth, and date and place of your baptism. Once you’re a member, we hope you’ll consider going through confirmation or reception in the Episcopal Church. Confirmation is a sacramental rite where those who have already been baptized make a public and mature affirmation of faith and receive the laying on of hands by a bishop. If you’ve already been confirmed in another church, you may be received.

If you’ve never been baptized:

Father Eric would love to speak with you about the possibility of receiving the sacrament of Holy Baptism–the sacrament by which God adopts us as his children and makes us members of Christ’s Body, the Church, and inheritors of the kingdom of God. Through the waters of Baptism, we are buried with Christ in his death and raised to newness of life through his resurrection. In the Episcopal Church, we baptize people of all ages, including infants and young children.
